Today we stopped by the local ice cream shop.  The big girls sucked down their ice cream while Caroline just kind of picked at hers.  I got really excited about that.  Since I hate to watch perfectly good ice cream (with sprinkles, no less) go to waste?  Well, you can probably imagine what happened when that little cutie wandered off to collect sticks.

I don't know what you all are doing with your kids for summer break, but it can't be any more fun that what we're doing. 

You would not believe how much my girls loved cleaning windows and shutters this morning. 

No.  I'm serious. 

They did it with such joy and gusto, too. 

I decided to repay them by treating them to lunch and playtime at McDonald's. 

Like I said, I'm not sure what you are doing to entertain your little ones during this break, but whatever it is?  You're trying way too hard.  Just give 'em some Windex, a couple of towels and a vacuum and watch them have a heapload of fun.

She ate four pieces. 

After the second she looked at me and asked, "Why am I always the only one left eating watermelon?  Why does everyone else go play and I'm still here?  Just eating?" 

I'm not crazy about my editing of this photo, but this shot was my favorite so I'm going with it. It was either this one or a photo of a potty training three year old.

We skipped out on a weekend at the lake in order to hang around the house and get some much needed work done.  We drained and scrubbed the hot tub and the girls had a good ol' time pretending they were fish in an aquarium.

Just a little snap of my biggest sweeties! We do not own this fancy little ride. We were visiting family of family. Does that make sense? We were swimming at my niece's mother-in-law's (who is the sweetest, by the way) house. We have a cute little pink jeep at our house, but of course the girls don't want to ride it that one.

Today the girls and I went downtown to Piedmont Park to play in the brand new fountain.  It was so very hot and you can bet that I'll be sportin' my suit on the next visit.  I had no problem standing right near the sprayer fully clothed...letting the girls "accidentally" get me wet.  I didn't take too may photos, but I was so happy to snag this one because all three girls are in it....Emily in the back in the green suit and Allison in the back right in the colorful suit.

I have to be honest here.  I did NOT take this photo on the correct day, BUT this is what the girls did on this day.  I just didn't like today's photo as well as this one. 

This fun little activity right here is a very big step for Allison (on the left) because this time last year she wouldn't even get in the water.  She needed a grown up to get in with her and even then it took 30 minutes of coaching for her to get in.

Another day on the lake and today we had dinner at The Ritz at Lake Oconee.  Yumm-O!

We spent another day on the lake and this is Caroline's most favorite thing to do on the boat.  She falls asleep every time.  No...like....EVERY SINGLE TIME.  Want Caroline to nap?  Throw her on the boat.

Last night we arrived at the lake and today we spent all afternoon jumping off the back of the boat...giggling...splashing...applying sunscreen repeatedly.  I think this is my favorite photo of the weekend.
