She has talked about getting this bear for months! Thank you, Nanny, for coming through with a talking Lots O' Huggin Bear! She was too cute (and very surprised!) when she hugged him and he said, "oh, you give the best hugs".
Happy birthday sweet girl!

I don't know what you all are doing with your kids for summer break, but it can't be any more fun that what we're doing.
You would not believe how much my girls loved cleaning windows and shutters this morning.
No. I'm serious.
They did it with such joy and gusto, too.
I decided to repay them by treating them to lunch and playtime at McDonald's.
Like I said, I'm not sure what you are doing to entertain your little ones during this break, but whatever it is? You're trying way too hard. Just give 'em some Windex, a couple of towels and a vacuum and watch them have a heapload of fun.
Today's prompt? windows
I clicked it up a notch this month and focused on dramatic window lighting. Check out all of the others that have stepped up their game this month, too. You can head on over to Click it Up a Notch to have a look!

She ate four pieces.
After the second she looked at me and asked, "Why am I always the only one left eating watermelon? Why does everyone else go play and I'm still here? Just eating?"
I'm not crazy about my editing of this photo, but this shot was my favorite so I'm going with it. It was either this one or a photo of a potty training three year old.
In the middle of the potty training part.
So I chose this one. (You're welcome.)

We skipped out on a weekend at the lake in order to hang around the house and get some much needed work done. We drained and scrubbed the hot tub and the girls had a good ol' time pretending they were fish in an aquarium.

Just a little snap of my biggest sweeties! We do not own this fancy little ride. We were visiting family of family. Does that make sense? We were swimming at my niece's mother-in-law's (who is the sweetest, by the way) house. We have a cute little pink jeep at our house, but of course the girls don't want to ride it that one.
I chose this photo today because I was going for the siblings prompt.

Day Two.....at the pool again!
(Hey! We gotta get our money's worth out of those HOA dues, you know.)

Another day on the lake and today we had dinner at The Ritz at Lake Oconee. Yumm-O!
Snapped this with my phone.

Here she is and feeling much better now!
Today was the last day of school for the big girls. I now have a 1st grader and a 3rd grader.
Geez.
Caroline and I spent the morning going to the end-of-the-year class parties and I think everyone had a great time. Allison's teachers cried when she left....not sure if that's good or bad....I'm pretty sure it's good. She is a real sweetie pie, if I do say so myself.
(I found the most lovely light just inside our garage door. This is how Allison's eyes look...for reals. I didn't do any editing to them and from now on I will judge every picture I take of her on this one photo alone...I'll probably never get her eyes so pretty anywhere else besides the garage. Look out for that flooring in later pictures.....just saying. Then again, maybe I'll change it up and throw down some different rugs every now and then...you know...to confuse you all.)

I missed posting yesterday, but did take a photo. Shortly after I snapped this one my middle girl (the one on the right with the smashing red fingernails) fell outside and busted the back of her head open on some stone work that we have in the backyard. It was maddening. A terrible, terrible evening that consisted of lots and lots of tears and a few staples to get her back on the mend. She's missing school today, but will be back tomorrow just in time for her end-of-the-year party.
I'm sure she'll be back to her old self really soon, but for now she's a bit crummy. Poor girl.

Okay. So here's my photo for today and I honestly don't know how I caught this.
No wait.
That's not true.
I *do* know how I caught this.
I took one hundred and seventeen shots of Allison blowing bubbles. I guess the odds were good that I'd get just ONE for my 365 project.
Oh. And don't let the sundress fool ya'. It was chilly today! The middle of May and 62 degrees. (stop laughing...that's chilly for us)

We participated in the community yard sale today and Allison walked down the street with Nan and came back with this pillow....and a step stool for her big sister. How sweet!

Allison was running a fever at school yesterday so I headed up to check her out early. She was pretty pitiful that evening and through the night so she skipped out of kindergarten today. After a quick doctor visit (and a meltdown of superior status over the throat swabbing) and a bit of rest, she's feeling loads better and, in fact, talking my ear off. She's just having an astmatic flair up and that we can take care of. The fever? Who knows, but she's been fever free all day!

This is the best I've got for today. Hopefully, a five year old....straight off the bus...with purple shoes....and rolled up jeans will do.
Oh! And a line cutting right through her legs and then again smack through her head.
See? I DO know the rules, I just choose to break them. How 'bout *that* for rebel?!
